🍺 Beer Garden / 21+ Vendor Rules & Requirements


To ensure a safe, smooth, and compliant Beer Garden experience, all 21+ vendors must adhere to the following requirements.



Alcohol Service & Certification

  • All vendors serving alcohol must have a valid TIPS Certification for each individual pouring or serving alcohol.

  • Alcohol insurance is required for all Beer Garden alcohol vendors.

    • This may be business insurance or event-specific insurance that covers alcohol and/or food & beverage service.


Food Preparation Guidelines

  • If all food and beverages are cooked and prepared onsite at the festival, you are not required to be a registered cottage food business or use a commercial kitchen.

  • If any part of your food or beverage is prepared at home or offsite, you must:

    • Be a registered cottage food business, OR

    • Prepare food in a certified commercial kitchen with proper licensing.


Vendor Setup Responsibilities

  • Vendors are responsible for providing their own setup, including:

    • Tent

    • Table

    • Chairs

    • Power source (if needed)

  • Equipment rentals may be available through the festival for an additional fee.

  • Food vendors may request to bring a small table and chair set for patrons.

    • This must be approved in advance — approval is mandatory before setup.


Open Flame & Propane Use

  • Vendors using open flames or propane must obtain an Open Flame Permit from Baltimore City Fire & EMS.

  • Festival staff can assist with the permitting process if needed.


Space & Category Reservation

  • Vendor spaces are not held without completed registration and full payment.

  • Once a vendor category is filled, no additional spots will be accepted.


Tasting Requirement

  • All alcohol, food, and beverage vendors must offer at least one tasting/sample item priced under $10.

  • All other menu items may be sold at regular pricing.

  • Taste of the DMV is about discovery — attendees come to taste, so sampling is required.

Vending Options / Notes



• You will be responsible for providing your own vending setup (tent, table & chairs) as well as power, unless discussed and approved in advance.

Electricity: Limited electrical access is available by request only and must be purchased in advance. No on-site requests will be honored.

Generators: Vendors may bring quiet/inverter generators only. Loud or open-frame generators are not permitted.

No spaces will be held. Spaces are secured only after payment is received.

Load-In / Load-Out: Vendors must adhere to assigned load-in and load-out times. Early breakdown is not permitted.

Weather: This is a rain or shine event. Vendors are responsible for securing tents, displays, and merchandise.

Tent Requirements: All tents must be properly weighted per safety guidelines.

• Health & Permits: Food vendors must have all required health permits and documentation available on-site at all times.

• Space Size: Standard vending spaces are 10x10 unless otherwise approved. Additional space must be purchased.

Sharing Spaces: Booth sharing or subleasing is not permitted unless approved in writing.

Placement: Vendor placement is determined by event organizers. Premium, corner, and zone-specific placements are available as paid upgrades.

Payments: All vendor fees, add-ons, and upgrades are non-refundable.

No Call / No Show: Failure to appear results in forfeiture of all fees and assigned space.

• Optional Add-Ons Available: Electricity, premium placement, corner booths, additional space, weekend bundles, and marketing features. Details will be provided after application approval.
